Celina Jaitly has been in the news for various reasons, particularly her domestic violence allegations against her spouse, Peter Haag. Last year, she reportedly fled Austria due to alleged mistreatment from her husband. In November 2025, she initiated legal action against him, citing domestic violence, cruelty, and manipulation, and is seeking a compensation of Rs 50 crore.

On Mother's Day 2026, Celina shared a poignant message expressing her longing for her three sons, Winston, Arthur, and Viraaj. She revealed that she has been denied access to her children, having traveled to Austria for a court hearing and to visit the grave of her deceased son, Shamsher. In her heartfelt note, she stated that she lost her children the moment she decided to leave Austria to safeguard her dignity and her family. With the assistance of neighbors, she managed to escape a situation filled with oppression, emotional abuse, and fear.

Celina has initiated legal proceedings in India to reclaim her home, which she purchased in 2004. She mentioned that her children have been prevented from communicating with her. The Austrian Family Court has established joint custody arrangements, yet she continues to face barriers in contacting her kids. In her note, she expressed concern that her children are being isolated and influenced against her by her husband and his family.

Recently, Celina claimed to have been outside her home in Austria two weeks ago, pleading for her children during the divorce proceedings. She expressed her heartbreak, stating, “This… is Mother’s Day for me. But I am the daughter of Maa Mahalalitha Ambika, Maa Kali, & Maa Durga. I now return to India to fight for my children, my dignity, truth & justice.”

Legal Actions Against Peter Haag

The Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against Peter Haag following Celina's complaint. The FIR includes multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023.
