Bollywood star Celina Jaitly has lodged a police complaint against her husband, Austrian businessman Peter Haag, accusing him of harassment, cruelty, and physical abuse. Following her allegations, the Mumbai Police have opened a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. In a significant move, authorities have also issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) for Haag, citing his alleged failure to cooperate with the ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, Celina took to Instagram to reveal that her children have been moved to a secret location, and she has been unable to reach them through phone or WhatsApp.

Sharing a nostalgic photo with her three sons from last year, Celina expressed her emotional turmoil on Instagram. She conveyed her wish to escape from the distressing circumstances and return to a peaceful life with her children. "This picture is from last year. My sons have been relocated to an undisclosed place. I send them messages every day, but I have been blocked on WhatsApp and calls. Despite a promise made in front of the honorable court in Austria, my husband is allegedly manipulating the situation to prevent my children from contacting me," she stated.

Celina further revealed that her children have encountered numerous barriers in reaching her, including exposure to selective media narratives that have disrupted their usual communication. She expressed concern over attempts to manipulate her children into speaking negatively about her, despite her unwavering support for them since birth and her relocation to accommodate their father's career. Her devastation over the situation was palpable.

The FIR filed by Celina at the Versova Police Station includes allegations of emotional, physical, and financial abuse, citing sections 85 (cruelty), 115(2), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. Additionally, a Look Out Circular has been issued against Peter Haag due to his alleged non-cooperation with the investigation. Celina has also filed a petition under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, seeking compensation of Rs 50 crore for loss of income, reputation, and property. The case is currently under investigation, with concurrent proceedings taking place in India regarding the criminal complaint and in Austria concerning divorce and child custody.
