Celina Jaitly Takes Legal Action

Bollywood star Celina Jaitly has officially filed a First Information Report (FIR) against her spouse, Austrian businessman Peter Haag. The allegations include harassment, cruelty, criminal intimidation, and physical abuse. In response to her complaint, the Mumbai Police have initiated a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. Notably, a Look Out Circular (LOC) has been issued for Haag due to his alleged non-compliance with the investigation process. In the midst of these developments, Celina took to Instagram to disclose that her children have been relocated to an undisclosed location and that she has been blocked from contacting them via phone and WhatsApp.

In an emotional Instagram post, Celina shared a nostalgic photo with her three sons, expressing her desire to escape the current turmoil and return to a peaceful life with them. She stated, "This is a picture from last year. My sons have been moved to an undisclosed location. I send them letter-like messages every day, but I have been blocked on WhatsApp and phone calls. Despite an undertaking in front of the honorable court in Austria, my husband is manipulating the laws to prevent my children from contacting me," she wrote.

Celina further revealed that her children have faced obstacles in reaching out to her, including exposure to selective media narratives that disrupt their communication. She accused Haag of brainwashing and intimidation tactics to turn her children against her, despite her unwavering support for them since birth and her sacrifices for their father's career.

Details of the FIR Against Peter Haag

The FIR filed by Celina at the Versova Police Station cites sections 85 (cruelty), 115(2), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, alleging various forms of abuse including emotional, physical, sexual, verbal, and financial. Additionally, a Look Out Circular has been issued against Peter Haag due to his alleged lack of cooperation in the investigation. Celina has also submitted a petition under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, seeking ₹50 crore in damages for loss of income, reputation, and property. The case is currently under investigation, with concurrent legal proceedings in India regarding the criminal complaint and in Austria concerning divorce and child custody.
