The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially filed a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the death of Disha Salian, who was the former manager of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. This pivotal legal action comes almost six years after Salian was discovered deceased on June 8, 2020, in Mumbai, just days prior to Rajput's own tragic passing at his residence in Bandra. This move follows a clear directive from the Bombay High Court, which mandated a thorough investigation into the circumstances of her death.

Previously, the case had been categorized as an Accidental Death Report (ADR). However, Salian's family has consistently raised concerns about potential foul play and has called for a detailed inquiry. During recent court sessions, a division bench led by Justice Bharati Dangre and Justice Manjusha Deshpande expressed their dismay that only an ADR had been filed despite the family's ongoing claims. The court also highlighted that the family had not received copies of the post-mortem report or the ADR for five years, which prompted the current investigation.

This development has also been recognized by Shweta Singh Kirti, the sister of the late Sushant Singh Rajput, who viewed the CBI inquiry as a beacon of hope for those seeking answers.
