BTS Surprises Fans with Wrestling Adventure in Mexico
BTS Captivates Mexico with Unique Experiences
The popular K-pop group BTS is currently delighting their fans in Mexico. Since their arrival for the ongoing ARIRANG World Tour, the members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—have been making headlines, especially during their sold-out concerts. However, it was their unexpected outing that caught everyone off guard. On May 9, social media was abuzz with videos and images of Jin, Suga, Jimin, and Jungkook enjoying a wrestling match at the renowned Arena México in Mexico City. Their choice of masks during the event surprised many fans worldwide. This outing followed their appearance at the National Palace, where they greeted over 50,000 fans after meeting President Claudia Sheinbaum.
BTS Enjoys Wrestling at Arena México
On Saturday, captivating footage of the four BTS members went viral online. Taking a break from their busy tour schedule, they made the most of their time in Mexico. Jin, Suga, Jimin, and Jungkook wore masks in the audience, likely to maintain their anonymity and not distract from the match. Notably, Jimin donned a mask inspired by the wrestler Místico, who later showed his support by wearing a custom jacket featuring the BTS logo and the members' names. After the match, CMLL wrestler Místico entered the ring to greet and embrace the K-pop stars.
Close Call for Jin
A memorable moment during the match occurred when Jin nearly got hit! An opposing wrestler fell into the laps of Jin and Jimin after being booed by the audience. Fans expressed their shock on social media, worried for the bandmates, but it turned into a humorous viral moment.
Fans React with Humor
Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their reactions to the surprise appearance of Jin, Suga, Jimin, and Jungkook. One user humorously questioned, "How can we compete with this!? What does the universe want from the rest of LATAM with all this happening in Mexico?" Another fan commented on their clever disguise, saying, "Great camouflage from the boys! But those behind them might recognize Jimin’s blond hair or Jungkook’s tattoos unless he’s wearing gloves!" Another added, "We’re so deep into this that we can identify them even in full masks! Jimin and Jungkook are easy to spot, while Suga and Jin are recognizable by their posture." BTS kicked off their Mexico tour at Estadio GNP Seguros (formerly Foro Sol) on May 7 and will perform again on May 9 and 10, 2026.
