The ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the US is escalating rapidly, with numerous missile strikes reported recently. Both parties have been targeting each other's energy facilities, raising global concerns as the situation shows no signs of a ceasefire. Amid these rising tensions and a looming fuel crisis, the US has allegedly proposed a 15-point ceasefire plan to Iran.

Boman Irani's Comedic Response

In light of these developments, veteran actor Boman Irani shared a humorous video on Instagram, poking fun at Donald Trump's willingness to negotiate with Iran. In the clip, he quipped that the 'Irani' community would be open to discussions if Trump visited Dadar Parsi Colony with a gas cylinder.

Irani humorously stated, "As you may know, it's going viral that Mr. Donald Trump wants to speak to the Iranis and three people have been beckoned. Talks are happening with Smriti Irani, Aruna Irani, and me, Boman Irani. So, I am ready. I am ready to do anything for peace. I have only one problem. I won't go to Washington. I think Mr. Trump and his delegation should come here to Dadar Parsi Colony. We'll feed them food, dhansak, custard. But if they get a gas cylinder then I think it will make life very smooth for all of us."

His light-hearted take on the serious issue had many, including Tabu and Sameera Reddy, laughing. Comedian Jaaved Jaaferi joked that if Irani offered to share a custard gas recipe, Trump might just make the trip to Dadarland.

Criticism from Mandana Karimi

However, not everyone found Irani's humor appropriate. Iranian model and actress Mandana Karimi expressed her discontent in the comments, questioning the timing of his remarks. She pointed out that while Iranians have faced severe hardships, including arrests and executions, Irani's comedic take seemed to trivialize their suffering.

Karimi remarked, "Boman Irani sir… suddenly you have a lot to say about Iran. Interesting timing. For years, Iranians have been getting arrested, executed, and silenced. Thousands killed. Families torn apart. And people like me we’ve lived it. We’ve spoken about it. But now… there’s a video. Now there’s concern. Now there’s humour about gas, about Trump, about 'come to my house.'"

She concluded her comment with a critical observation about the shift from silence to satire regarding serious issues affecting her homeland.
