He stated, “There are heartbreaking stories about men who have endured so much, which need to be shared. I’m not suggesting that films about women's mistreatment should not be made. Statistically, yes, it may be more prevalent, but there are men who find themselves in situations where they have done nothing wrong and yet face punishment.”
