Bhooth Bangla: Akshay Kumar's Film Surges at the Box Office, Eyes New Milestones!
Bhooth Bangla's Box Office Success
Akshay Kumar's recent release, Bhooth Bangla, has successfully maintained the positive trend for Bollywood following the debut of Dhurandhar 2. This film marks a notable collaboration between Kumar and director Priyadarshan after a decade, creating significant buzz ahead of its release. As it nears the conclusion of its second weekend, Bhooth Bangla has nearly reached the 200 crore mark at the global box office, positioning it to potentially outpace the earnings of OMG 2.
During its second weekend, Bhooth Bangla showcased remarkable growth, particularly in its Saturday and Sunday box office performance. In India, the film has amassed a gross of 150.04 crore, which translates to a net of 127.16 crore. On the international front, it has added another 45.5 crore, bringing its total worldwide gross to 195.54 crore within just 10 days of its release.
With these impressive figures, Bhooth Bangla has already claimed its spot as the fourth-highest-grossing film for Akshay Kumar in the post-COVID landscape. To climb to the third position, it needs to surpass the 220 crore gross of OMG 2, requiring an additional 24.46 crore. Given its current momentum, this target seems achievable.
Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla hit theaters on April 17. The film was produced with a budget of 120 crore, with contributions from Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, and Ekta Kapoor. It was produced under the banners of Cape of Good Films and Balaji Motion Pictures, with distribution managed by Pen Marudhar.
As the box office numbers continue to come in, Bhooth Bangla is set to make a significant mark in the industry, showcasing the ongoing resurgence and success of Bollywood films in today's market. The film's performance will be closely watched as it approaches its next financial goals.
