The move is part of a broader initiative by the Chandigarh administration to regulate nightlife venues in the area, with reports indicating that two to three other clubs have faced similar fates. The enforcement action against SAGO was executed by the Chandigarh administration's enforcement wing.

On April 25, a show-cause notice was issued to the nightclub, requesting explanations for the unauthorized structures and violations. However, it appears that the necessary corrections were not made, prompting the authorities to seal the establishment. During their inspection, officials discovered several compliance issues, and it is rumored that notices have been sent to additional venues as well. Future actions will depend on the results of ongoing inspections.
