Actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan are collaborating on a spy comedy film, produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions alongside Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment. Although the film remains untitled, it is scheduled for a mid-2026 release. Recent reports indicate that the production is currently filming an end-credit patriotic song, which is integral to the film's narrative. Initially, the creators intended to shoot the song in real locations across Delhi and Mumbai, but they have opted for constructed sets instead.

According to updates from a media source, the production team is nearing the completion of filming for the upcoming project featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan. The pair had a busy shooting schedule last month and are now focused on wrapping up the last song, a patriotic piece. Directed by Aakash Kaushik, the filming is taking place in Mumbai, specifically at Madh Island. Reports suggest that Ayushmann and Sara completed the shoot for the track in just two days.

The song titled Jai Hind is set against the backdrop of Independence Day festivities in Delhi, featuring over 700 dancers and junior artists to showcase the grandeur of the patriotic parade.

In addition to the spy comedy, Ayushmann and Sara are also set to star in a spiritual sequel to the 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh, titled Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. This sequel will also feature Wamiqa Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh in supporting roles. Initially slated for a Holi 2025 release, the film's premiere has been postponed to May 15, 2026. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra, with creative production by JunoChopra. Details regarding the plot remain undisclosed.

Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in the horror-comedy Thamma, directed by Dinesh Vijan, which co-stars Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. This vampire love story was released in theaters on October 21, 2025, and is currently available for streaming on a popular OTT platform.
