Tragic Discovery of Ayesha Khan

Renowned Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan was discovered deceased in her apartment located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7, Karachi, nearly a week after her death. She was 76 years old.

Local media sources indicate that Khan had been living alone for several years and had largely withdrawn from public life. Her decomposed remains were found after neighbors reported a foul smell emanating from her home. Authorities responded and transported her body to Jinnah Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause and timing of her death.

After the medical examination, her body was transferred to the Edhi Foundation’s mortuary in Sohrab Goth. The police have commenced an investigation, interviewing neighbors and family members regarding her last days.

Ayesha Khan, born on November 22, 1948, was a prominent figure during Pakistan’s television golden age. She was the elder sister of the famous actress Khalida Riyasat and featured in popular series such as Akhri Chattan, Tipu Sultan: The Tiger Lord, Dehleez, Daraarein, Bol Meri Machli, Saibaan, and Ek Aur Aasman.

In addition to her television work, she also acted in films including Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Muskaan, and Fatima.
