Celebrating 14 Years in the Film Industry

Mumbai: Actor Arjun Kapoor marked a significant milestone as he celebrated 14 years in the Hindi film industry, coinciding with the anniversary of his debut film, Ishaqzaade, which was released on Monday.

Sharing some sketches of memorable scenes from the film, Arjun expressed that his character, Parma, still feels like the starting point of his cinematic journey, which he aims to continue with exciting new projects.

On his official Instagram account, he wrote, "14 years later, Parma still feels like the beginning of everything. #Ishaqzaade was the start of my journey as an actor, in cinema and with all of you…And it continues ❤️ (sic)."

Directed by Habib Faisal, Ishaqzaade was produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner.

The film featured Parineeti Chopra as the female lead, alongside Gauahar Khan, Natasha Rastogi, Anil Rastogi, and Shashank Khaitan in supporting roles.

Ishaqzaade is an official adaptation of the 2009 Bengali film Dujone.

Set in the fictional town of Almor in Uttar Pradesh, the story revolves around Parma Chauhan (played by Arjun) and Zoya Qureshi (played by Parineeti), who come from opposing political families. Their intense romance challenges the entrenched religious divides in their society.

While this film marked Arjun's first major role, it was Parineeti's second project following her debut in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl in 2011.

Looking at Arjun's recent work, he was last seen in the romantic comedy Mere Husband Ki Biwi, alongside Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar, although the film did not perform well at the box office.

He has yet to reveal details about his next project.

Additionally, he recently portrayed the main antagonist in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, earning significant praise for his role in the cop drama.
