Abhishek Banerjee, who portrayed 'Jana' in the original film, shares this enthusiasm. In a recent interview with a Media Channel, he expressed, "This film definitely deserves to be made. I am optimistic that this journey will carry on."

Fresh Energy Needed for the Franchise

When discussing the casting for future films, Abhishek remarked, "I hope that our current team—Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and I—stays together for the next few years. However, every industry has its time. There comes a point when it's essential to make room for the new generation to emerge."

He continued, "Films like this require a certain youthful spirit. If we were to continue playing the same roles into our 50s or 60s, the audience might not enjoy it as much. Therefore, as long as we can keep the character's freshness and energy, we would love to be part of it. However, if our producers or directors feel that new energy is necessary, we must accept that decision. It's a natural progression."
