On July 14, she posted a screenshot of one such image from an Instagram account, publicly denouncing it. She characterized the image as being edited in a 'defamatory and obscene' manner, aimed at tarnishing her reputation. Anna has stated her intention to report the account to Instagram and file a formal complaint with the police. She directly tagged the Kerala Police and their cyber division in her post, urging them to take swift action against those responsible for the offensive content.

In her Instagram post, Anna expressed, "This image has been maliciously edited and posted in an obscene and defamatory manner to damage my reputation." She emphasized that this act constitutes a serious invasion of her personal space, stating, "This is shameful, unacceptable, and a serious violation of my privacy and dignity." Anna confirmed that she is taking formal steps against the account, stating, "I am officially reporting this account to Instagram and will be filing a police complaint under the applicable laws." She made it clear that those who created or shared the content would face consequences. Furthermore, she appealed to the cyber authorities in Kerala for assistance, writing, "I request @keralapoliceofficial and @kerala_police @cyberdomekerala to take immediate action. I have preserved the evidence and will be filing an official police complaint." She also urged her followers not to disseminate such content further.

This incident is not the first instance of online harassment that Anna has encountered. Earlier this year, she faced backlash after unflattering photographs of her were taken at the Attukal Pongala festival in Thiruvananthapuram, prompting her to issue a public clarification at that time.
