Anna Faris Makes a Comeback in Scary Movie 6
Anna Faris is set to reprise her role as Cindy Campbell in the upcoming comedy film Scary Movie 6. Over the years, Faris has been involved in various comedic projects, including House Bunny and the popular CBS series Mom. In 2004, she also had a recurring role as Erica in the final season of Friends. Recently, she shared her thoughts on the experience of joining the iconic cast, which included David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry, during a group hug that she found uncomfortable.
Anna Faris Reflects on Feeling Out of Place During Friends' Group Hug
In an interview with Variety, Faris revealed that she often stood "about two feet away from their group hug" after rehearsals on the Friends set. The main cast members frequently invited her to join in, but she felt it was inappropriate. Faris appeared in four episodes of the show, portraying a pregnant woman named Erica who gives her twins to Chandler (Perry) and Monica (Cox) for adoption. She expressed her gratitude for being part of such a significant series, especially in front of a live audience that appreciated the show's finale.
In a 2024 interview with People, she mentioned that Perry had recommended her for the role after seeing her performance in Lost in Translation. Working alongside Perry, who passed away in October 2023, and Cox was a memorable experience for her, as she described them as "kind" and "incredible." Initially, she thought being part of the final season of Friends would be intimidating, but it turned out to be a privilege.
