The announcement regarding her casting in the film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar was made last year. Initially, it was revealed that Shakti Shalini would premiere on December 24, 2026, coinciding with the release of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's film King. However, recent reports suggest a shift in the release schedule, with the film now aiming for a January 2027 debut.

As per reports from Mid-Day, Shakti Shalini is currently in the final stages of production. While filming may continue into May, the production team is reportedly planning to complete principal photography by the end of this month. Following this, they will focus on visual effects and post-production, ensuring ample time is allocated for these crucial elements. A source indicated that if everything proceeds smoothly, a January 2027 release is anticipated, potentially in the first half of the month. However, the final decision will likely be made after the release of Cocktail 2, which features Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna.

There is speculation that Vishal Jethwa may join Aneet in this Maddock Films production, marking a reunion after their collaboration in Salaam Venky. Official confirmation from the actor and the Shakti Shalini team is still pending.
