Currently engaged in the filming of Shakti Shalini, Aneet expressed her sorrow over losing the 'only love of my life'. She shared a poignant photo of them holding hands on Instagram, accompanied by a touching message. In Saiyaara, Aneet plays Vaani Batra, a writer diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at a young age. Drawing parallels between her character and her grandfather's struggles, she shared with The Hollywood Reporter India that he faced memory loss, which made the film resonate deeply with her. “I believed in this film because it says 'dimaag bhool jaata hai par dil kabhi nahi bhoolta (the mind forgets but the heart does not)', and that's very true for my dadu,” she remarked, recalling how he often forgot her name. Aneet fondly remembered how he would sometimes call her Heeraput or Makkhan.

On the professional front, Aneet is currently working on Shakti Shalini, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. This film is part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe and features Vishal Jethwa and Viineet Kumar Siingh alongside her. Shakti Shalini is scheduled for release on December 24. Additionally, she will reunite with Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday, and YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani for another romantic musical following Saiyaara, which is still in the pre-production phase.
