Drawing parallels between her character and her grandfather's struggles, she shared with The Hollywood Reporter India that he faced memory loss, which made the film resonate deeply with her. “I believed in this film because it says 'dimaag bhool jaata hai par dil kabhi nahi bhoolta (the mind forgets but the heart does not)', and that's very true for my dadu,” she remarked, recalling how he often forgot her name. Aneet fondly remembered how he would sometimes call her Heeraput or Makkhan.
