Anandita Sundar Opens Up About Online Criticism

In a recent podcast appearance, Anandita, the daughter of actress and politician Khushbu Sundar, candidly spoke about her experiences with online trolling from a young age. She shared that early on, she faced criticism for her weight, with people speculating about her using medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro for weight loss. Anandita, along with her sister Avantika, acknowledged that they were chubby children who later struggled with obesity. They recognized the need to lose weight for health reasons as they grew older.

Addressing the Ozempic Rumors

During her discussion on the JFW podcast, Anandita explained that her fitness journey began in 2018, taking seven years to reach her current state. She emphasized that her transformation was gradual, particularly noting significant weight loss during the COVID-19 pandemic. "People often jump to conclusions, thinking I underwent surgery or other drastic measures. They haven't seen my journey, so how can they judge?" she remarked, laughing off the rumors surrounding her weight loss.

Anandita also expressed her understanding that negativity is a part of life, stating that her motivation for losing weight was never to satisfy others. Reflecting on her past, she pointed out that many critics failed to recognize she was just a child when they hurled insults at her. "I was only 15, and while my parents were in the spotlight, I was just a kid. Why do people feel entitled to comment on my appearance?" she questioned.

Response to Comparisons with Transgender Individuals

Continuing her conversation, Anandita addressed the hurtful comparisons made between her and transgender individuals. She expressed admiration for the transgender community, stating, "I find them to be beautiful and nuanced. I've met many transgender people who are incredibly kind and sweet." Despite her appreciation, she lamented that her social media posts often attract unkind comments, with many focusing on her looks. "Whenever I share a photo, the comments frequently criticize my appearance. I've learned to develop a thick skin, but it's disheartening to see such negativity," she concluded.
