Amitabh Bachchan's Anticipation for KBC's New Season

Mumbai: Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan expressed his mixed feelings of excitement and nervousness as the new season of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' (KBC) has commenced. He acknowledged the vital role that both contestants and the audience play in energizing the show.

In a recent blog post, Amitabh shared, “At work .. early rise, early work .. first day of KBC new season .. and as always .. the nerves .. the shaking knees the apprehension (sic).”

He further noted, “The contestants and the audience in the great KBC floor make all the difference… they are so we are .. Truly .. So to them all .. my wishes and prayers (sic).”

The 17th season of the popular game show is set to premiere on August 11.

On Thursday, Sony Entertainment Television launched a new campaign for KBC Season 17, which reflects the spirit of contemporary India.

The campaign, titled ‘Jahaan Akal Hai, Wahaan Akad Hai’, emphasizes how knowledge empowers individuals, fuels aspirations, instills confidence, and promotes a proactive ‘Can Do’ mindset.

Amitabh previously remarked that 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' has always celebrated knowledge and the pride that accompanies it.

He stated, “This year’s campaign, ‘Jahan Akal Hai, Wahan Akad Hai’, beautifully encapsulates that sentiment and encourages individuals to take pride in their intellect and to walk tall with the confidence that comes from truly knowing.”

'Kaun Banega Crorepati' is the Hindi version of the global franchise 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' and has been hosted by Amitabh Bachchan throughout its run, except for the third season when Shah Rukh Khan took over.

Contestants answer multiple-choice questions, selecting the correct answer from four options, and can utilize lifelines if they are unsure.
