Mumbai, Oct 12: Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan recently shared his insights on the challenges of online trolling and criticism.

During an episode of the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, a contestant named Vinamra sought the legendary actor's guidance on managing negativity prevalent on social media.

Bachchan noted that individuals from his generation often struggle to cope with criticism.

Vinamra asked, “I wanted to know how you handle criticism on social media, sir? People in my age group find it really hard to deal with it...”

In response, Amitabh reflected on his initial perception of social media as a space for open expression.

He admitted that his perspective shifted after he began to read the comments from users.

“Initially, I thought it was a great tool to share my thoughts... But after reading the comments, I reduced my posts. I encountered phrases like, 'What does this old man think of himself? Why is he saying this?' Such language felt odd, so I decided to write less,” he explained.

Concluding the discussion humorously, he told Vinamra and the audience, “Let me tell you something: ever since I started posting less, my followers have been increasing!”

For those unaware, Amitabh Bachchan, who turned 84 on October 11, began his personal blog in 2008 and has consistently engaged with fans across various digital platforms.
