Box Office Success for 'Alpha'

Mumbai: The action thriller Alpha, featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, has made an impressive Rs 16.10 crore on its opening day at the global box office, as reported by a trade tracking platform.

The film garnered approximately Rs 11.10 crore from Indian audiences and an additional Rs 5 crore from international markets, bringing its total worldwide earnings to Rs 16.10 crore.

As per the tracking site, the film's domestic net collection was estimated at Rs 9.25 crore, with screenings held across 7,534 shows on its debut Friday.

Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Yash Raj Films, Alpha marks the studio's first female-led entry into its interconnected Spy Universe.

The storyline revolves around two elite agents, portrayed by Bhatt and Sharvari, who undertake a perilous mission against a formidable foe played by Bobby Deol.

The cast also features Anil Kapoor in a significant role, while Hrithik Roshan makes a special appearance as the super-spy Kabir Dhaliwal.

Alpha joins the ranks of Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe, which includes hits like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3, and War 2.

The film was released in theaters nationwide on Friday in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
