Having collaborated with Priyadarshan on iconic films such as Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Garam Masala, Akshay is reuniting with the director after a 14-year hiatus for this exciting project. The film was first announced two years ago.

Initially slated for an April 2024 release, the date for Bhoot Bangla has been revised. On January 7, 2025, the production team announced the new release date via a social media post.


The updated release date was shared alongside a poster, stating, "News has arrived from the bungalow," confirming that the film will now premiere on May 15, 2026.
