Mumbai, April 28: Renowned Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is making a comeback with the second season of the popular gaming reality show ‘Wheel of Fortune’.

The star expressed that the program has allowed him to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, enriching his experience as an actor.

He remarked, “The affection I’ve received from ‘Wheel of Fortune’ is immeasurable. Meeting people from various walks of life has been a remarkable journey, filled with unique and inspiring stories.”

Akshay also announced, “With all this support, I’m thrilled to share that Sony Pictures Networks India and I are gearing up for another season of ‘Wheel of Fortune’. Here’s to more laughter and numerous winners ahead!”

In a previous episode, he shared a touching story about the talented choreographer and filmmaker Farah Khan, recounting a poignant moment from her childhood. He emphasized her lifelong passion for cinema and the challenges she faced early on.

Describing the incident, Akshay said, “Farah has loved watching films since childhood. Whenever she liked a movie, she would buy its record. However, a tragic event occurred when her father produced a film that didn’t succeed, leading her to sell all her records.”

Farah interjected, “I first sold the record player.” Akshay replied, “Yes, you sold the record player first, then all the records. And now look at her, working so hard to break records herself.” Farah has often shared her struggles during her childhood, especially after her father's passing.

For those unfamiliar, Farah Khan’s father, Kamran Khan, was a stuntman turned filmmaker. After his film ‘Aisa Bhi Hota Hai’ failed, he faced severe financial difficulties, which led to a battle with alcoholism and created significant strain within the family.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ airs on Sony Entertainment Television and is also available on SonyLIV.
