Exciting Collaboration for 'Bhooth Bangla'

Renowned actor and director duo Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan have teamed up once more to create the horror comedy titled Bhooth Bangla. During a recent media event for the preview of a song from the film, producer Ektaa Kapoor shared that Akshay was quick to agree to the project upon receiving the script.

Script Modifications After Akshay's Involvement

Ektaa also mentioned that they wanted Priyadarshan to helm the direction, which delighted Akshay. She noted that when she presented the script to Priyadarshan, he appreciated it but suggested some modifications, which Ektaa and her team accepted. Once the deal was finalized, the entire cast was on board within just three days.

As fans eagerly anticipate the release of Bhooth Bangla, the team has released a teaser for the film's first song, Ram Ji Aake Bhala Karenge. The track, composed by Pritam, features lyrics by Kumaar and is sung by Dev Arijit, with a rap segment by Mellow D. The full song is set to be available on Thursday. The makers teased on social media, stating, “Main apne bhooths ke saath ready hoon… are you? #RamJiAakeBhalaKarengeTeaser out now. Song out tomorrow!”

Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures in collaboration with Cape of Good Films, Bhooth Bangla is co-produced by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa R Kapoor. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and Rajpal Yadav, among others. In addition to Bhooth Bangla, Akshay and Priyadarshan are also collaborating on two other films: Haiwaan, featuring Saif Ali Khan, and Hera Pheri 3, alongside Suniel Shetty.

While the storyline remains largely undisclosed, Bhooth Bangla is characterized as a horror-comedy revolving around a haunted mansion filled with supernatural elements, mystery, and humor. Priyadarshan previously stated, "Bhooth Bangla is inspired by Indian mythology and black magic, drawing from ancient texts like the Vedas and the Mahabharata." The film was officially announced in September 2024 with a motion poster and has been filmed in various locations, including London, Jaipur, Kochi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad. It is scheduled for theatrical release on April 10.
