Aditya Dhar Celebrates Shashwat Sachdev's Musical Genius in Dhurandhar 2
A Collaborative Effort in Filmmaking
Filmmaking is seldom a solo endeavor, and director Aditya Dhar of the spy thriller Dhurandhar 2 exemplifies this truth. As the film continues to gain traction at the box office and on international music charts, Aditya took a moment to express his gratitude towards the music composer, Shashwat Sachdev. In a heartfelt social media post, he commended Shashwat for not only his exceptional quality of work but also for the remarkable volume of music produced under challenging circumstances that would have overwhelmed many in the creative field.

Aditya Dhar's Thank You Note For Shashwat Sachdev
Aditya Dhar affectionately referred to Shashwat, whom he calls 'Sha', as more than just a collaborator. He described him as a 'younger brother' with whom he has shared 'chaos, silence, ideas, and some of the most intense creative days'. The scale of Shashwat's contributions is staggering; for the first part of Dhurandhar, he composed nine songs in just nine days and completed the entire background score in six days. For the sequel, the figures were even more impressive: 14 songs in 11 days, with the background music finished in an astonishing three days. Aditya labeled this feat as 'beyond crazy', emphasizing the emotional depth and consistent quality of the music.

How The Music For Dhurandhar 2 Came Together
Aditya also provided insight into the unique working conditions during the music recording phase. For nearly 15 days, his home was converted into a makeshift studio, with each room serving a distinct purpose—music in the living room, recordings in the bedrooms, and writing sessions on the balconies. Musicians and singers were constantly coming and going, with workdays extending up to 21 or 22 hours. At the heart of this organized chaos was Shashwat Sachdev, who Aditya described as the one 'holding everything together—creating, composing, guiding, reacting, evolving, all at once'. Even on days when Shashwat was unwell and sleep-deprived, he showed up fully committed, without any compromise. Aditya also acknowledged Shashwat's partner, Magic, as the stabilizing force during the most intense periods. He credited lyricist Irshad Kamil and the entire team for their contributions, stating that everyone 'went into absolute God mode'.
