Aditya Dhar Celebrates His Team's Success in 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'
Director's Heartfelt Tributes to His Team
As Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to perform exceptionally well at the box office, director Aditya Dhar has taken to social media to express his gratitude towards his team. He recently lauded cinematographer Vikash Nowlakha, calling him the soul of Dhurandhar. In his latest post, he also recognized editor Shiv Kumar Panicker for his remarkable ability to edit the film in just a few days, a task that usually takes years for a project of this scale.
Dhar described Shiv as a dear friend and a vital collaborator who has been by his side throughout the filmmaking process. He emphasized the trust and loyalty that define their relationship, praising Shiv's unwavering support and work ethic. According to Dhar, Shiv is someone who would go to great lengths to ensure the success of their projects.
Highlighting Shiv's exceptional skills, Dhar noted that the editor has a unique understanding of storytelling, pacing, and emotional depth, which significantly enhances the films they work on together. In his post, he remarked, "He doesn’t merely edit a film; he infuses it with vitality. With Dhurandhar, what he achieved feels nothing short of miraculous. While the decision to split the film into two parts was mine, the success of that choice relied entirely on him. The way he managed that responsibility was remarkable."
Despite facing significant pressure and tight deadlines, Shiv managed to edit the extensive film in a matter of days, a feat that Dhar considered nearly impossible. He also mentioned that Panicker's contributions extended beyond editing; he was involved from the writing phase through to post-production, acting as a "silent co-director."
Dhar concluded by expressing that he cannot imagine making films without Shiv, stating that the editor's impact on his career is beyond words. "There are individuals like Shiv who become integral to your journey in ways that words can never fully capture. Endless love, respect, and gratitude. Dhurandhar will always embody his heartbeat," he wrote.
