Adah Sharma recently starred in the film Governor – The Silent Saviour, featuring Manoj Bajpayee. This movie draws inspiration from real events during India's economic turmoil in the 1990s. Directed by Chinmay Mandlekar, Adah portrays a journalist, sharing the screen with Madhoo in a significant role. This project marks her fifth collaboration with producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah. In an exclusive interview, Adah addressed the speculation surrounding her status as the producer's favorite actress and shared valuable lessons learned during the film's production.

During our engaging discussion, we inquired if Adah has earned the title of Vipul Amrutlal Shah's favorite actress. Having previously worked together on projects like The Kerala Story 2 and Bastar The Naxal Story, Adah remarked, “Vipul Sir treats everyone equally, regardless of gender. He tends to work with the same actors and crew, including his production team and technical staff. Many, like Vidyut Jammwal and Akshay Kumar, have collaborated with him multiple times. I believe I’m now a close third with Governor.”



When reflecting on her acting career, Adah humorously summarized, “From 1920 to Rs 375 crore – from history to making history. Adah Sharma’s 100-year journey in Indian cinema.” She emphasized her preference for dramatic roles, suggesting her journey should be equally dramatic.

Adah admitted she was initially unaware of the events of the 1990s. She stated, “Honestly, I didn’t know this happened during that time. I researched it right after my first meeting with Chinmay Sir to be better prepared for our next discussion.” As the conversation wrapped up, Adah shared insights about her upcoming projects, mentioning a bilingual film where she plays a character named Devi, a superhero film titled SUPER Velli, and hinted at two more surprises that will be revealed soon. She enjoys discussing her work closer to release dates, as she did with Governor, The Kerala Story, and Sunflower, where her involvement was kept under wraps until the trailers were announced. Adah has been a part of the film industry for 18 years, with her debut in 1920 still resonating with audiences today. Her filmography includes titles like Hasee Toh Phasee, Commando 2, and Commando 3.
