The parrot's relentless teasing turns the repair job into a comical ordeal, leaving the mechanic in shock. This amusing story highlights the unexpected challenges that can arise in everyday situations, making readers chuckle at the antics of the parrot and the mechanic's reactions.

The Unusual Call for Help

Mrs. Dubey called, stating, "I am Mrs. Dubey from Nehru Nagar, Parijat Extension Q.NO. HIG B/16. My air conditioner isn't functioning. Please come and fix it after I leave for the office this afternoon. The house will be locked, but the hall will be open."

She instructed that the key would be under a nearby flower pot, and the mechanic was to unlock the door and repair the AC. Additionally, she warned him about her Doberman, which would be in the hall but was trained and harmless unless given a command.

Mrs. Dubey also mentioned a parrot in a cage that talks a lot but advised him not to engage with it. After the work was done, he was to lock the hall and return the key to the same spot. She promised to pay him when she returned from work.

The Mechanic's Arrival

When the mechanic arrived, he was startled to find the Doberman lying near the sofa. However, the dog merely glanced at him before dozing off again.

As he proceeded to work, the parrot began squawking, "Hey thief, what are you doing?" It continued to shout for two hours, making the mechanic's job increasingly difficult.

The parrot called him names and even hurled insults, driving the mechanic to the brink of frustration. He contemplated retaliating with a screwdriver but remembered Mrs. Dubey's warning.

The Final Straw

As he was packing up to leave, the parrot taunted him again, "Hey thief, what did you steal?" This was too much for the mechanic, who thought Mrs. Dubey was exaggerating about the bird's behavior.

He pulled out his screwdriver and approached the parrot, ready to confront it. Just then, the parrot screeched, "Leave it, Tommy, leave it!"

The mechanic, terrified, fled the scene, still in shock from the encounter.
