Passenger Discontent at Delhi Airport

Approximately 200 passengers of SpiceJet expressed their frustration at Delhi's airport due to repeated rescheduling and significant delays of their flights to Dubai, which began on Monday, as reported by sources.

The flights SG 5111 and SG 5105 were initially set to depart for Dubai in the morning and evening, respectively, but both faced rescheduling. Many travelers found themselves stranded at the airport, according to the source.

In response to the situation, a spokesperson for the airline expressed sincere apologies for the disruption and confirmed that alternative flights were being organized.

The protest, which involved around 200 passengers, took place at various locations within Terminal 3 (T3) of the airport starting late Monday evening. Airport officials have since escalated the issue to SpiceJet management.

The delays for flights SG 5111 and SG 5105, which operate from Delhi to Dubai, were attributed to operational challenges following the grounding of one of the aircraft.

The airline is actively working to arrange substitute flights for the affected passengers and is committed to reducing the inconvenience caused, as stated by the airline representative.

SpiceJet has been encountering several challenges recently.

Last week, Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu indicated that both the civil aviation ministry and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) are closely monitoring SpiceJet's financial and operational status.
