Odisha Government Greenlights 20 Major Projects Worth ₹4,353 Crore: What You Need to Know

The Odisha government has recently approved 20 significant projects with a total investment of ₹4,353 crore, aimed at generating over 7,800 jobs across various sectors. Significant Investment Approved in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: On Tuesday, the Odisha government sanctioned 20 new projects, collectively valued at ₹4,353 crore, according to an official announcement.


These approvals were made during a meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), led by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja in Bhubaneswar.


The projects will span across 11 districts and are anticipated to create approximately 7,815 job opportunities.


The sectors benefiting from these approvals include chemicals, electronics, aluminum, tourism, infrastructure, IT services, power and renewable energy, as well as food processing. The projects will be implemented in Angul, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khurda, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundergarh.


An official remarked, "These approvals highlight the state government's proactive strategy to attract high-quality investments, facilitate last-mile support, and simplify the establishment of industries. By diversifying industrial projects across various districts, Odisha is fostering balanced regional growth and creating new job opportunities for its youth."


Among the notable projects is the NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited's floating solar unit, set to be built in Sundergarh with an investment of ₹710.27 crore, alongside Rashmi Metallurgical Industry Private Limited's iron ore beneficiation plant in Keonjhar, which has a budget of ₹600 crore.
