Market Valuation of Top Firms Soars: Bharti Airtel Leads the Charge!
Significant Gains in Market Valuation
New Delhi: The total market capitalization of eight out of the ten most valuable companies surged by ₹1,87,497.45 crore during a shortened trading week, with Bharti Airtel standing out as the top performer, reflecting a positive trend in the stock market.
In the previous week, the BSE Sensex experienced a rise of 943.29 points, equivalent to a 1.21% increase, while the NSE Nifty saw an uptick of 302.95 points, or 1.25%.
According to Ajit Mishra, Senior Vice President of Research at Religare Broking Ltd, "The markets concluded the shortened week with impressive gains, marking a continuation of their upward trajectory for the second week in a row. This was bolstered by reduced geopolitical tensions and a more favorable risk appetite. The optimism surrounding a potential peace agreement between the US and Iran further boosted market confidence, alongside stable domestic economic indicators that supported this momentum."
Bharti Airtel's market valuation rose by ₹58,831.52 crore, reaching ₹11,25,125.21 crore, making it the largest gainer among the top ten firms.
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) also saw a significant increase, with its valuation climbing by ₹27,608.62 crore to ₹5,32,691.31 crore.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) added ₹20,731.64 crore to its market valuation, bringing it to ₹9,34,063.56 crore.
Reliance Industries' market capitalization increased by ₹20,231.05 crore, reaching ₹18,47,317.84 crore, while Larsen & Toubro's valuation rose by ₹18,577.91 crore to ₹5,63,314.50 crore.
ICICI Bank's market cap grew by ₹18,266.82 crore, totaling ₹9,65,008.67 crore.
The valuation of State Bank of India increased by ₹12,599.79 crore to ₹9,97,229.77 crore, and Infosys saw a rise of ₹10,650.1 crore, reaching ₹5,34,774.50 crore.
Conversely, HDFC Bank's market capitalization fell by ₹16,163.04 crore to ₹12,31,315.53 crore.
Bajaj Finance also experienced a decline, with its valuation decreasing by ₹9,769.3 crore to ₹5,65,437.17 crore.
Currently, Reliance Industries holds the title of the most valued firm, followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, TCS, Bajaj Finance, Larsen & Toubro, Infosys, and LIC.
