IndiGo's Website Experiences Technical Issues

New Delhi, Aug 21: IndiGo's online platform encountered another technical setback on Friday, hindering numerous passengers from booking flights, completing web check-ins, or utilizing various online services. Additionally, some users faced challenges logging into the airline's mobile app.

The airline confirmed the issue via a service advisory, indicating that it was dealing with sporadic problems related to its core reservation system. IndiGo noted that these disruptions might hinder some customers from accessing its online functionalities.

"We are currently facing intermittent challenges with our core reservation system, which may impede some customers' access to our online services," stated the low-cost carrier.

"Our teams are prioritizing this issue and are collaborating with our partner to resolve it as swiftly as possible," the airline added.

During the outage, IndiGo's website showed a “no data available” message when users tried to access flight booking options. Many passengers voiced their frustrations through the airline's official X account, reporting failed bookings, issues with web check-ins, and delays or failures in payment confirmations.

The airline has yet to reveal the exact cause of this latest disruption or identify the technology partner involved in rectifying the reservation platform issue.

This incident follows a similar problem reported just two days earlier, when IndiGo acknowledged facing “intermittent issues” with its reservation system that could impact customer access to online services.

The recurrence of these technical difficulties within the same week has raised concerns among travelers who depend on IndiGo's digital platforms for booking, check-in, and payment services.

As India's largest airline by domestic market share, IndiGo represented approximately 67 percent of the country's domestic aviation market in July. Given its significant presence, disruptions to its reservation and booking systems can impact a vast number of passengers nationwide.

The latest advisory from the airline did not specify a timeline for the full restoration of its online services.
