Flight Cancellation Due to Regional Tensions

Bhubaneswar: An Indigo flight scheduled to travel from Bhubaneswar to Dubai was cancelled on Monday due to heightened tensions in the West Asia region, as confirmed by an airport official.

Prasanna Pradhan, the Director of Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), stated that the airline proactively informed passengers about the cancellation ahead of time.

Indigo typically operates flights from Bhubaneswar to Dubai three times a week, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Approximately 120 passengers had booked tickets for the flight on Monday.

While the flight on Friday proceeded as planned, the airline had announced the cancellation of Monday's service on Sunday. As of now, no updates have been provided regarding the Wednesday flight to Dubai.
