Indian Stock Market Trading Schedule and Recent Performance
Trading Schedule for the Indian Stock Market
This week, the Indian stock market will be closed for two trading days, resulting in only three active trading sessions out of five. Specifically, the market will not operate on March 31, 2026 (Tuesday) in observance of Shri Mahavir Jayanti. Additionally, it will be closed again on April 3, 2026, for Good Friday, coinciding with closures in major global markets, including the US.
On Monday, the stock market experienced a significant downturn, with both the Sensex and Nifty indices facing considerable selling pressure for the second consecutive day.
