Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has assured citizens that there is no LPG cylinder shortage in the nation, despite ongoing global tensions. The company reported that it is distributing approximately 2.8 million LPG cylinders daily, maintaining a stable and sufficient domestic supply throughout India. In a statement on X, IOC emphasized, “IndianOil continues to ensure uninterrupted LPG supply to households across the nation. Delivering around 28 lakh LPG cylinders daily, operations remain steady and consistent with normal levels, even amid evolving geopolitical challenges.”



Key Highlights from Indian Oil:



  • About 87% of bookings are now processed digitally via SMS and IVRS.

  • Deliveries are confirmed using DAC OTP to ensure cylinders reach the correct customers.

  • 5 kg FTL cylinders are regularly provided to migrant workers upon valid ID verification.

  • Strict oversight is enforced to prevent black marketing and cylinder diversion.

  • Consumers are advised to book LPG only through official channels and opt for OTP-based delivery.


The company cautioned against believing rumors circulating on social media and reminded the public that filling petrol in bottles or open containers is both unsafe and illegal. “Adequate arrangements have been made to maintain steady availability, and there is no disruption in supplies. Hence, there is no need for any concern or panic,” IndianOil stated. The company prioritizes domestic LPG consumers and is closely monitoring the situation to ensure smooth supply through authorized distributors.
