Aja AstroTech Pvt Ltd, based in Hyderabad, has introduced a groundbreaking mobile application named Dosha Nivarana (DNA). This app aims to convert the timeless principles of Vedic astrology into a user-friendly digital format for everyday individuals. Marketed as the first application in India that is entirely grounded in the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra—an esteemed text of Vedic astrology attributed to Sage Parashara Muni—this initiative stands out in the crowded astrology app market.

According to the founders, the DNA app differentiates itself from other astrology platforms that often rely on machine learning for predictions. Instead, its engine is a precise software interpretation of classical Jyotisha logic, ensuring that every calculation is rooted in the original texts of Parasara, rather than generated by artificial intelligence. "This is not merely a horoscope application; it serves as a karma engine," stated Phaniraj Jaligama, the Founder and CEO of Aja AstroTech Pvt Ltd.

The app was officially launched at an event in Hyderabad, attended by notable figures including Badiga Srikanth, Group Director of Phonix; retired district judge Hemanth Kumar Dintyala; and former T-Hub CEO Srinivas Rao Mahankali. During the event, CEO Phaniraj Jaligama elaborated on the app's foundational concept: the celestial positions at the exact time of an individual's birth create a unique “cosmic blueprint.” He emphasized that when Parashara’s principles are accurately encoded, they can interpret this blueprint with a level of precision that general AI cannot achieve.

A Comprehensive Astrology Tool

The features of this platform are impressively extensive for a first-time release. The engine can automatically identify 50 classical Doshas across five distinct categories and correlates them with a database of over 75 remedies rooted in Parasara's teachings. It also produces personalized reports that cover a wide range of topics, from a child's Janma Patrika to an analysis of the Rahu-Ketu axis. Additionally, a specialized Muhurtha suite is available, which calculates auspicious timings for 19 significant life events, adhering to the traditional standards.

Furthermore, the app includes a Family Management module, allowing users to maintain charts for multiple family members under a single account, catering to the traditional joint-family structure prevalent in India. Currently, the app is available in Telugu and English, with plans to introduce 11 more Indian languages by June.
