Finance Minister to Evaluate Banking Strategies Amid West Asia Crisis

On Monday, July 13, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will convene a meeting with representatives from public sector banks and various financial institutions. The primary focus of this gathering will be to assess the initiatives introduced by the Finance Ministry aimed at alleviating the repercussions of the ongoing crisis in West Asia. Furthermore, discussions are anticipated to cover the preparedness of banks regarding Mythos AI and other related matters, as reported by sources from a financial news outlet.


Additionally, the Finance Minister is expected to evaluate several financial instruments, including Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Bank) [FCNR(B)] deposits, Overseas Foreign Currency Borrowings (OFCBs), and External Commercial Borrowings (ECBs).
