EPFO Portal Services Temporarily Unavailable

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced that its website will be offline from June 26 to June 28 due to a planned system migration. This upgrade is expected to impact EPF members, particularly regarding their claims, passbook access, and other online services.

Details of the System Upgrade

This upgrade involves a comprehensive database consolidation and software application enhancement. The aim is to improve service delivery, boost processing efficiency, and enhance the overall user experience. According to the notification, the submission and processing of claims will be unavailable from midnight on June 26 until 11:59 PM on June 28, which falls on a Friday through Sunday.

Alternative Access for Users

During this downtime, EPF members can still check their account balance, view their passbook, and track their application status through the UMANG app, SMS, WhatsApp, or by using the missed call service. Although the EPFO portal will be inaccessible, these alternative channels will allow users to obtain essential information and services.

Members can check their PF account balance and application status using the UMANG app, while SMS services are available for account details via messages sent from registered mobile numbers linked to their Universal Account Number (UAN). Additionally, the missed call facility provides quick access to information, and WhatsApp support will also be available for updates.

Post-Upgrade Expectations

After the upgrade, EPFO subscribers can anticipate new features, including a more user-friendly passbook view and quicker claim settlements.
