Gold and Silver Price Update
On Friday, the prices of gold and silver have shown an upward trend once again. In the early trading hours, both precious metals are trading positively. As the week comes to a close, gold and silver are experiencing limited gains on the Multi Commodity Exchange. Around 10:02 AM, gold for delivery on June 5 was trading at ₹1,52,710 per 10 grams, reflecting an increase of 0.29%. Meanwhile, silver for delivery on July 3 was priced at ₹2,60,001 per kilogram, marking a rise of 0.57%.
Modest Gains in Gold and Silver Prices
On Friday, gold for June 5 delivery opened at ₹1,52,672 per 10 grams, up from Thursday's closing price of ₹1,52,261 per 10 grams. During trading, the price of gold reached an intraday high of ₹1,53,103 per 10 grams before settling back. In contrast, silver for July 3 delivery opened at ₹2,59,999 per kilogram, up from Thursday's closing price of ₹2,58,540. Throughout the day, silver prices fluctuated between an intraday high of ₹2,61,811 and a low of ₹2,59,769.
Significant Surge in Silver Prices on Thursday
It is noteworthy that on Thursday, the gold prices in Delhi's bullion market saw a slight increase, while silver prices surged significantly. According to the All India Sarafa Association, silver prices in Delhi's market jumped by ₹7,000, reaching ₹2,61,500 per kilogram. Additionally, gold with 99.9% purity recorded a modest increase of ₹600, bringing its price to ₹1,56,000 per 10 grams. It is important to mention that both the MCX and the bullion market will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday.
