Significant Boost to Industrial Growth in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: In a significant advancement for industrial growth and investment, the Land Allotment Committee (LAC), led by Usha Padhee, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development Department and Chairperson of IDCO, has recently sanctioned 63 project proposals. This includes 55 land allotments and eight proposals focused on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). These approvals are anticipated to foster the establishment and growth of industrial units, enhance industrial infrastructure, and create new investment and job opportunities throughout the state.

Under Padhee's guidance, IDCO has implemented various initiatives aimed at streamlining the land allotment process, improving coordination among departments, and ensuring timely decisions on investment proposals. The LAC convenes monthly to regularly review and approve land-related applications.

Moreover, a dedicated weekly system has been established to address and resolve the concerns of investors and entrepreneurs, ensuring swift resolution of issues and increased responsiveness in the allotment process. These initiatives are designed to reduce procedural delays, enhance transparency, and improve the overall business environment, allowing investors to effectively turn their proposals into tangible projects. The approval of MSME proposals underscores the state's commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises as vital contributors to economic growth, innovation, and job creation.

By facilitating access to industrial land and infrastructure, the government aims to cultivate a favorable environment for businesses of all sizes to set up and expand their operations. The LAC is instrumental in industrial development by reviewing and approving land-related proposals. The establishment of monthly committee meetings and weekly grievance sessions demonstrates IDCO's dedication to transparent, responsive, and investor-friendly governance in the industrial sector.
