Air India Express Resumes Full Operations in West Asia Network

Air India Express has announced the full restoration of its flight services to all destinations in its West Asia network, including Salalah and Kuwait. Following disruptions caused by the ongoing conflict, the airline is resuming operations with flights starting from July 2. The Kozhikode-Salalah route will operate twice weekly, while services to Kuwait will gradually increase. This marks a significant step towards normalcy for the airline and its passengers.
 

Restoration of Services to West Asia


After a pause in operations due to the ongoing conflict, Air India Express has announced the full restoration of its services across its West Asia network. The airline is set to resume flights to Salalah in Oman and Kuwait, marking a significant return to normalcy.


According to a statement from Air India Express, flights on the Kozhikode–Salalah route will recommence on July 2. The Kozhikode-Kuwait route will see its first flights on July 3, while services from Bengaluru to Kuwait will start on July 4. The frequency of these flights will gradually increase in the following days.


The Kozhikode–Salalah service will operate bi-weekly, while the Kozhikode-Kuwait route will initially have one flight per week starting July 3, ramping up to three flights weekly by July 5. With this development, Air India Express now serves two airports in Oman: Muscat International and Salalah International.


Additionally, flights between Muscat and Mangaluru will resume on July 3. The airline currently operates around 40 weekly flights from Muscat to seven destinations in India. The Bengaluru-Kuwait service will begin with one flight per week on July 4, increasing to three flights weekly from July 7. All flights to and from Kuwait will operate from Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport.
