Unveiling Hidden Motorcycle Models

While brands like Royal Enfield and Hero often showcase their upcoming models as part of their marketing strategies, some new bikes remain under the radar. This article highlights several anticipated motorcycles that have not received much attention. Most of these models are from Royal Enfield, but we also delve into a few other potential launches. It's important to note that brands undergo rigorous testing phases, and not every tested model makes it to market, meaning some of these bikes may not be released.

Royal Enfield GTR 750

Recently, Royal Enfield announced plans to introduce a new 750cc mid-size motorcycle, which will play a crucial role in the brand's future growth strategy. This bike, codenamed R1E, will not be the only model to feature the new 750cc engine, as several other models in their lineup are expected to adopt this engine. The new powertrain aims to enhance performance and dynamics compared to the existing 650cc range.

Performance Enhancements

The engine is designed to provide improved performance and torque. Royal Enfield has expressed intentions to explore emerging markets and compete with international brands to capture market segments beyond India. The GTR750 is likely to be the first motorcycle launched with this new platform, followed by a 750cc version of the Himalayan.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750

Rumors surrounding the 750cc Himalayan have intensified, especially after a similarly equipped bike was spotted testing in Europe. It is expected that the 750cc engine will be integrated into the Himalayan chassis to enhance its competitiveness against international rivals. Although the bike was previously seen testing, it has not been spotted again recently. The 750cc Himalayan is poised to compete with European touring bikes, which typically feature larger engines, such as the Yamaha Versys 650 and Suzuki V-Strom 650.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Raid

The Himalayan Raid is one of the most closely guarded secrets in Royal Enfield's upcoming launches. Before their official release, bikes undergo extensive testing, and the Himalayan Raid was recently spotted in the UK. Interestingly, the coolant reservoir appeared to be a bottle with a hose attached.

Hero Xpulse 421

The Xpulse 210 was previously showcased at EICMA 2024, and it is confirmed that it will be powered by the same engine found in the Karizma XMR 210. Additionally, the Xpulse 421 name has been trademarked in India, with a launch expected in 2025 or early 2026.

Hero Xpulse 421 Design and Specifications

The trademarking of the new 421 design suggests that a 421cc version of the Xpulse is in development. This model is set to compete closely with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the new-generation KTM 390 Adventure, and the upcoming BMW F450 GS. The adventure bike segment is heating up, especially with the anticipated arrival of the TVS Apache RTX 300.

Performance Details

The Xpulse 421 will feature a 421cc single-cylinder engine, producing approximately 40 BHP and a peak torque of 40 NM. It will be paired with a 6-speed transmission, providing the bike with the necessary power to compete with models like the KTM 390 Adventure.

Other Upcoming Models

In addition to the aforementioned bikes, other models expected to launch in India include the KTM SMC R supermoto and the TVS RTX 300 adventure bike.
