Their relationship intensified over time, leading them to a hotel for a romantic night. However, their dreams quickly shattered, resulting in a shocking decision that left the police astounded. Fearing exposure, the couple ingested poison in the hotel. They were subsequently hospitalized, and once their condition stabilized, they were taken into custody by the Delhi police. The local police have denied any formal documentation of the case.

A Love That Defied Norms

It is often said that love knows no boundaries, including age or familial ties. This particular love story, however, has raised eyebrows and strained relationships. The woman, originally from Gautam Buddh Nagar, was married to a man from Jahangirabad, while her nephew resides in Delhi. Their affection grew so strong that the woman left her husband to elope with her nephew. Reports indicate that they had checked into a hotel just two days prior to the incident.

The Search and Discovery

The 22-year-old nephew from the Karawal Nagar area of Delhi was involved in a romantic relationship with his aunt, who lives in the Nixon Villa area of Greater Noida. After visiting her parental home, she left with her nephew on June 17. When family members failed to locate her, they reported her missing at the Beta 2 police station in Gautam Buddh Nagar on June 20. The nephew's family filed a similar report at the Dayalpur police station in Delhi on the same day.

Police Intervention

Both Gautam Buddh Nagar and Delhi police were actively searching for the couple. On Saturday, the Delhi police received a tip-off about their whereabouts at a hotel near the old bus stand in Bulandshahr. Upon learning that the police were approaching, the woman and her nephew consumed poison. They were rushed to the hospital, and after their condition improved, the Delhi police took them into custody.

Official Statements

The station officer confirmed that the woman had been in a romantic relationship with her nephew, which prompted them to leave their homes. They ultimately resorted to consuming poison in Bulandshahr. After their recovery, the Delhi police took them into custody for further investigation.
