Legend has it that the station became deserted after sightings of a female ghost. In 1967, a railway official and his family reported seeing a ghost at the station, leading to its closure for nearly 42 years. Although it reopened in 2009, many still avoid staying there at night due to lingering fears.

Naini Railway Station

Naini Railway Station, situated in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is also listed among the haunted stations. The area is surrounded by several jails where many freedom fighters were imprisoned during the struggle for independence. It is said that the spirits of some prisoners linger around the station and the nearby jails. Numerous visitors have reported hearing strange noises and seeing shadows at night.

Mulund Railway Station
