This article invites readers to enjoy a comedic perspective on a serious topic, showcasing the quirks of Indian culture in a fun way.

A Journey Through Different Hells

A man found himself in hell after passing away. Upon arrival, he discovered that individuals could choose to visit the hell of any country.

Curious, he decided to check out the American hell. When he arrived, he asked the guard at the entrance, “What can I expect in American hell?”

The guard replied:

  • First, you will be strapped to an electric chair and shocked for an hour.

  • Next, you will be laid on a bed of nails for another hour.

  • Finally, a monster will whip your injured back fifty times.

Frightened by this, the man moved on to Russian hell, where he received the same terrifying descriptions. He continued to visit the hells of various countries, only to hear similar dreadful punishments.

Eventually, he arrived at Indian hell. To his surprise, he saw a long line of people eagerly waiting to enter.

Thinking that the punishments must be milder here, he asked the guard, “What are the punishments?”

The guard responded:

  • Electric chair shocks,

  • Bed of nails,

  • And fifty lashes.

Confused, the man exclaimed, “But these are the same as in other countries! Why is there such a crowd here?”

The guard chuckled and explained:

  • The electric chair is the same, but there’s no power.

  • The nails from the bed have been sold off by someone.

  • And the person who is supposed to whip you is a lateral entry employee – he comes, signs in, and then goes for tea and snacks.

  • If he happens to return early, he might give you one or two lashes but writes down fifty.
