Begunkodor Railway Station

Located in the Purulia district of West Bengal, Begunkodor Railway Station is renowned as India's most haunted railway station. Legend has it that the station became deserted after sightings of a female ghost. In 1967, a railway official and his family reported seeing a ghost at the station, leading to its closure for nearly 42 years. Although it reopened in 2009, many still avoid staying there at night due to lingering fears.

Naini Railway Station

Naini Railway Station, situated in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is also listed among the haunted stations. The area is surrounded by several jails where many freedom fighters were imprisoned during the struggle for independence. It is said that the spirits of some prisoners linger around the station and the nearby jails. Numerous visitors have reported hearing strange noises and seeing shadows at night.

Mulund Railway Station

Mulund Railway Station is a crucial part of Mumbai's local train service, yet it is surrounded by numerous spooky stories. Some passengers claim to have seen spirits of individuals who jumped in front of trains. Reports of bizarre occurrences on the platform during nighttime are common.

Barog Railway Station

Barog Railway Station, located on the Kalka-Shimla route, is also considered a haunted site. According to local lore, during British rule, a British engineer named Colonel Barog mistakenly constructed a tunnel in the wrong direction. After facing humiliation, he took his own life, and since then, people have claimed to see his spirit wandering around the station and the tunnel.

Rabindra Sarobar Metro Station

Rabindra Sarobar Metro Station in Kolkata is also regarded as haunted. Situated on the Blue Line's north-south corridor, it is rumored that several individuals have committed suicide here, and their spirits are said to linger. Many passengers and metro staff have reported seeing a white figure and hearing strange sounds at the station.
