The Men's Asian Games Cricket Qualifier is scheduled to take place from May 31 to June 9 in Singapore. This tournament will feature eight teams, organized into two groups: Group A includes Nepal, Malaysia, Qatar, and China, while Group B consists of Oman, Hong Kong China, Bahrain, and Singapore.

Tournament Format and Schedule

Group stage matches will occur daily from May 31 to June 5, with two matches played each day. After a rest day, the knockout phase will commence on Sunday, June 7, starting with Semi-Final 1 (A1 vs B2) in the morning and Semi-Final 2 (B1 vs A2) in the afternoon. The tournament will wrap up on Monday, June 8, with the 3rd Place Playoff between the semi-final losers at 9:30 AM, followed by the championship final at 2:30 PM.

India secured the gold medal in the men's cricket tournament at the Asian Games 2023, thanks to their superior T20 rankings after the final against Afghanistan was canceled due to rain in Hangzhou, China, on Saturday. This victory marks the Indian men's cricket team's first title in their debut at the Asian Games.

Cricket has been featured in the Asian Games during two previous editions (2010 and 2014), but India chose not to participate in either. Afghanistan, on the other hand, earned their third consecutive silver medal in men's cricket at the Asian Games.
