India's Squad Announced for FIH Men’s Pro League 2025–26


New Delhi/Rourkela: Hockey India has officially revealed a 24-member squad for the upcoming FIH Men’s Pro League 2025–26, set to take place from February 10 to 15 at the Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, Odisha.


One of the standout selections is 21-year-old Rosan Kujur from Odisha, who is making his debut in the senior national team. Kujur previously contributed to the Indian Junior Team's success, which clinched a bronze medal at the FIH Junior World Cup 2025 held in Chennai.


He also had a remarkable domestic season, playing a pivotal role in the Vedanta Kalinga Lancers' triumph in the Hero Hockey India League 2025–26.


The Rourkela leg will see India compete against formidable teams like Argentina and Belgium, promising thrilling matches against some of the best in international hockey.


The Indian lineup showcases a mix of seasoned players and emerging talents, aiming for a strong start in their Pro League campaign on home turf.


Goalkeeping responsibilities will be shared by Suraj Karkera and Pawan, while the defense features Amit Rohidas, Captain Harmanpreet Singh, Jarmanpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh, Sumit, Sanjay, and Nilam Sanjeep Xess, ensuring a robust defensive strategy.


Amandeep Lakra, who recently earned the title of Hero Player of the Tournament in the Men’s Hero Hockey India League 2025–26, is also included in the defensive roster, highlighting his rising prominence.


The midfield will be led by Rajinder Singh, Manmeet Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Hardik Singh, Moirangthem Rabichandra Singh, Nilakanta Sharma, and Rosan Kujur, combining experience with creativity.


Manmeet Singh, another addition to the squad, has been recognized for his impressive performances and was part of the junior team that won bronze in Chennai, further solidifying his credentials during the Hero Hockey India League 2025–26.


The forward line consists of Abhishek, Sukhjeet Singh, Shilanand Lakra, Selvam Karthi, Mandeep Singh, Araijeet Singh Hundal, and Aditya Arjun Lalage, who will be crucial in converting scoring opportunities.


Chief coach Craig Fulton expressed his enthusiasm about the squad, stating, “We have an exciting blend of youth and experience. Young talents like Rosan, Manmeet, and Amandeep are emerging, while seasoned players from the India A setup bring invaluable experience. This balance is essential for us. Although Belgium and Argentina are strong teams, we trust in our capabilities and are determined to perform at our best.”
