This win marks the third consecutive victory for Pep Guardiola's squad in the league.

With this result, Manchester City ascends to second place in the league standings, accumulating 31 points from 10 wins, one draw, and four losses. Conversely, Sunderland drops to seventh place with 23 points, having secured six wins, five draws, and four defeats.

The match began with both teams evenly matched, but Manchester City broke the deadlock when Ruben Dias unleashed a powerful shot from the edge of the box in the 31st minute. Just four minutes later, Gvardiol doubled the lead with a header.
