Jharkhand T20 League Kicks Off with Exciting Matches and Star Appearances
Inaugural Match Details
The Chota Nagpur Royals, led by Virat Singh, are set to face off against Rajandeep Singh's Ranchi Titans in the opening match of the Jharkhand T20 League. This thrilling event will take place from June 10 to June 23 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.
Following the first match, an opening ceremony will be held featuring MS Dhoni, a celebrated cricketer from Jharkhand, as a special guest. The day's second match will see the Koylanchal Super Kings, captained by Utkarsh Singh, take on the Jamshedpur Steelers, led by Kumar Deobrat.
League Structure and Teams
The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), in collaboration with AV24 Sports Private Limited, has finalized the schedule for 27 matches, including two semi-finals and the championship match. Six franchises will compete for the prestigious trophy: Ranchi Titans, Jamshedpur Steelers, Chota Nagpur Royals, Koylanchal Super Kings, Dhanbad Diamonds, and Santhal Strikers.
JSCA Officials Share Insights
"This league represents a pivotal moment for cricket in Jharkhand. We are eager to see the state's top talent compete at a professional level, inspiring future cricketers," stated Ajay Nath Shah Deo, President of the JSCA.
"The enthusiasm from players, franchises, and fans has been remarkable. We believe this inaugural edition will set a high standard for future leagues," added Sanjay Pandey, Vice President of the JSCA.
"The Jharkhand T20 League will offer young players a platform to demonstrate their skills alongside seasoned professionals. We anticipate an exhilarating season ahead," remarked Saurabh Tiwary, Honorary Secretary of the JSCA.
"We are confident that the league will deliver two weeks of exciting and competitive cricket while providing valuable opportunities for emerging talent," concluded Shahbaz Nadeem, Honorary Joint Secretary of the JSCA.
